Sparkle On with Edible Glitter for your Wedding Reception
For all those brides who LOVE glitter, this one's for you! Just when you think you've blinged out everything in sight, along comes edible glitter! That's right, glitter that you can sprinkle, dust or dip on cakes and actually consume. Not to be confused with disco dust which is also used on cake but is simply non-toxic. What this means is that technically it's not edible since it's made of small pieces of plastic, but it is digestible and some cake designers use it. For more on this subject check out Erica O'Brien's Edible vs. Non-Toxic: The Great Glitter Debate. Edible glitter is very cool for its' uniqueness and the way it takes you by surprise as you're not used to seeing sparkly desserts. If you're still wary about buying a container you can always make your own. Look here to see how to make your own edible glitter.
